This much-loved building has been a cornerstone of the local community for many years, but it has since become tired and somewhat dated, no longer reflecting the vibrancy of the people it serves. Our goal is to breathe new life into the Centre while preserving its community spirit and ensuring it continues to serve as a hub for generations to come.
Our design approach focuses on two key principles: community and sustainability. We understand the importance of this space to the people of Mumbles, and we have engaged extensively with the community throughout the design process. Through workshops and consultations, we have gained invaluable insight into the needs and aspirations of local residents. This feedback has directly shaped our plans, ensuring the Centre remains a welcoming, functional, and inclusive space for all.
Sustainability is at the heart of this project. In partnership with Down to Earth, we will use natural, and where possible, locally sourced materials that reduce the environmental impact of the building and create a harmonious connection with the building’s surroundings. This approach not only aligns with the community’s values but also promotes the long-term resilience of the Centre.
By incorporating sustainable features and ensuring the design is adaptable, we are ensuring that the building will meet future demands while minimizing its ecological footprint.
