Childs Sulzmann Architects are excited to confirm that plans for the refurbishment and extension of the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Teifi Marshes have been submitted to Pembrokeshire County Council for planning approval. We have very much enjoyed working with the team at the Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales and preparing the submission for National Lottery Heritage Funding to help preserve the historic wetland habitat within the nature reserve.

Working with the team we have created a solution that works with the existing architecture to resolve the challenges the visitor centre has faced through increased visitor numbers and climate change. The scheme includes proposals to create a new entrance within the building, improving circulation for visitors, decarbonisation of the visitor centre and enhancements to the existing Glasshouse Café. Our proposals will help the centre to deliver a more diverse and inclusive programme of activities, serving a greater number of visitors and building on the excellent work of the team on the ground.
