Childs Sulzmann Architects are leading the team to restore this Edwardian mansion to create a boutique hotel and training school.
We won this commission in competition with 154 entries to a national competition.
The project , planned to be completed in 2021, will restore the building to its former glory after a catastrophic fire 10 years ago.
Moreton Hall is a Grade II listed Edwardian House in the Georgian Style built in the early 1900s in Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire. This fine mansion was built for the fabulously wealthy son of the founder of The Bank of America.
Now owned by Warwickshire College, the intention is to convert Moreton Hall for use as a Hotel Training School. This will complement courses in leisure and hospitality across the college and provide training in a variety of disciplines.
With Brexit looming the hospitality industry is bracing itself for the loss of many European staff who have underpinned the hotel sector for many years. The opportunity to train home grown talent could not be better timed.
“Our selection for the project recognises our extensive experience of Country House Hotels gained over 35 years”; says Nick Childs, who leads the Hospitality Team at Childs Sulzmann.
